Are you interested in working with experienced artists? From Monday, March 25 to Friday, March 29, Bergen Community College will host an artist residency in collaboration with art curator Cece Carpio, muralist/painter Layqa Nuna Yawar, and photographer/filmmaker Adam Perez for their work on the Arrivals/Departures – East80West collection featured at Gallery Bergen. These events will allow students to network with the artists, learn the connection between activism and art and pick up new creative skills. This residency is cosponsored by Gallery Bergen and the Center for Peace, Justice and Reconciliation, and is supported by a generous grant from the Bergen County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.
