Cautionary Tale for Billionaires

Paintings by Jeramy Turner – January 23 to April 4, 2024

Painter Jeramy Turner is known for her large scale works depicting the vulnerability of bankers, financiers, and other symbols of rapacious capitalism while using endangered species to symbolize resistance. Her bloated, often naked anonymous figures, with features distorted by greed are reminiscent of the work of Fernando Botero. Her surrealist canvases serve to heighten the contradiction between their financial and political power and their very real earth-bound, short-lived fragility.
